Global Health Courses

The Certificate Courses on Global Health are organised by an international network of public health oriented organisations in Chile, Finland, the Philippines, Nepal and Tanzania.

The aim of this collaboration is to train medical, dental and veterinary doctors and students in global public health issues, such as health care delivery systems, infectious and non-infectious diseases epidemiology and health care management. The network also provides opportunities for institutional capacity building, teachers' exchange and research projects.

To date over 400 health students and doctors have participated in the course, which has been arranged in Finland seven times during 2001-2010. In addition, two courses have been arranged in Tanzania and one in the Philippines.

This Global Health collaboration is funded by the Finnish Ministry for Foreign Affairs (Department of Development Policy) and participating Finnish organisations. Click Organisers and funding on the panel in the left for more information.

In 2012 there will be only one four week GH course in Tanzania

Application period will be from 7th November until 4th December.
